The Media Futures Conference is a one day exploration of the dynamics and trends shaping the future of media. As well as an opportunity for lively debate, the conference will feature presentations showcasing innovative projects, demonstrating smart thinking in practice and illustrating the scope of what is possible. Themes the conference will address:
  • Forecasting and the social context of technology
  • The changing role of media in society
  • Understanding the needs and desires of real people
  • How to encourage empathy and integration between holders of the skill sets involved in media development
  • Learning from other disciplines and schools of thought
  • Ways of invigorating innovation
